Florida protects 1,034-acre ranch once owned by governor in $6.52m conservation deal

Florida has approved a $6.52 million conservation easement to protect Limestone Creek Ranch from development. The 1,034-acre property has been involved in cattle ranching for over 70 years. This agreement allows continued agricultural operations while preventing future development on the land. Governor Ron DeSantis emphasized the importance of protecting Florida's unique lands and waters. The initiative is part of a broader effort involving over 10,770 acres across the state.
