Geneva: The Covid variant detected first in India will henceforth be referred to as Delta variant, the WHO announced on Monday. The other "variants of concern" generally known by the country where they were detected have been named as Alpha (UK), Beta (South Africa) and Gamma (Brazil). — Reuters
