The Lok Sabha today passed the Finance Bill-2021, which contains some changes in the proposals made in the Union Budget, even as several members objected to the incorporation of 27 amendments to the LIC Act.
"You have done this to avoid scrutiny in Parliament. We could have looked at it separately," said Dr Amar Singh (Congress).
Replying to observations by 25 members, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman held out the hope of petrol and diesel being brought under GST. — TNS
