Giving an overview of the prevailing security situation, the Navy Chief, Admiral Karambir Singh, has said the Navy will continue maintaining a high tempo of operations in coming months. He was addressing Navy personnel at the Karwar base in Karnataka where he reviewed the operational preparedness and combat readiness on Tuesday.

This comes amid increased presence of the Chinese navy in the international waters.

He looked into key issues of repairs, maintenance, spares' support and logistics for units at sea to sharpen their war capabilities. He witnessed weapon firings, air-to-air combat operations, anti-submarine drills and fleet manoeuvres under realistic conditions.
