New Delhi, August 2
Daily new recoveries today neared the daily new cases with the cumulative disease burden rising to 17,50,723 with recoveries crossing the 11-lakh mark today.
Out of the total cases, 11,45,629 have been discharged with the national cure rate rising to 65.44%.
The Health Ministry reported record recoveries of 51,225 patients over 24 hours while new infections reported over the same period were 54,735. Experts said the expected scenario over the coming days is decline in disease graph with new recoveries outstripping the new cases.
Active cases as of today are 5,67,730 and make up 32.43% of the total cases with recoveries rising fast, the Health Ministry said today, adding death rate has fallen further to 2.13%.
The government said India's case fatality rate from the Covid was the lowest worldwide. — TNS
