India today rejected reference to Jamp;K in a joint statement issued at the second round of China-Pakistan Foreign Ministers' Strategic Dialogue that ended on Friday.
MEA spokesperson Anurag Srivastava said: "We categorically reject the reference. Jamp;K is an integral and inalienable part of India and we expect the parties concerned not to interfere in the internal affairs of India." "At the same time, we also reiterate our consistent position on the so-called China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC)," he added.
India has repeatedly conveyed its concerns to both China and Pakistan on the projects in the CPEC, which are in the territory of India that has been illegally occupied by Pakistan. "We oppose actions by other countries that change the status quo in Pakistan-occupied Jamp;K," said Srivastava.
